Tip times across Preston and the rest of Lancashire are being changed.
Lancashire County Council says to save money it is standardising when household waste recycling centres are open.
Tips currently open 8am to 7pm in the summer and 8am to 5pm in the winter.
But the county council says visitor numbers are low at either end of the day and are now proposing a standard 9am to 5pm opening seven-days-a-week.
The new opening time is due to come into force from 1 October this year.

In Longridge the household waste recycling centre is due to close two days during the week, excluding Friday, as the council’s survey said this was regularly the busiest day of the week.
Labour deputy leader county councillor John Fillis said: “It’s clearly recognised by the scientific community and supported by local people that we need to be recycling more.
“The Conservatives go against all this and choose to cut the opening hour of Household Waste Recycling Centres across Lancashire. This will without doubt reduce recycling and increase fly tipping. Leaving the borough councils to clear it up and local people to pay the price.”
