Police warn public not to approach two convicted Preston criminals who are on the run

Police are looking for two convicted criminals who have gone on the run.

Saleem Khan, 47 of Faringdon Close, Fishwick, and Jason Batchelor, 25, of no fixed address, were both charged with conspiracy to handle stolen goods.

Khan was due to stand trial on 8 May at Preston Crown Court but failed to appear.

Batchelor appeared for two days of the trial but then failed to appearl.

Both men were convicted on 17 May and are due to be sentenced on 14 June.

A warrant has been issued for their arrest.

Khan is 6′, medium build with receding dark-brown grey hair and Batchelor is white, 5’7″, medium build and with dark-brown cropped hair.

Both have links to the Preston area, with Khan also having links to Blackburn and Burnley.

Police are urging people not to approach either man but instead call 101 or email forcecontrolroom@lancashire.pnn.police.uk, 2900@lancashire.pnn.police.uk or 8855@lancashire.pnn.police.uk providing a description of their clothing if seen. In an emergency always call 999.
