Police want to speak to three people after theft of alcohol at Waitrose at the Capitol Centre

Three people are being sought by police after alcohol was taken from Waitrose in the city.

Preston Police have released details of a string of thefts in Blackburn and one at the supermarket at the Capitol Centre in Walton-le-Dale.

A total of £11,000 worth of items has been taken during the incidents across Blackburn and the one at Waitrose.

Police confirmed to Blog Preston around £600 of spirits were taken during the theft at the supermarket.

PC Lynsey Leigh of Blackburn Police said: “Several thefts took place in a relatively short period of time, with the items valued at around £11,000 in total.

“We have been following several lines of enquiry since then and would now like to speak to the people in the photo and CCTV images as part of those enquiries.

“If you know who they are, or have any other information that could help us, we would ask you to contact us as soon as possible.”

The thefts in Blackburn wre:
4 March, theft of a pressure washer from B&Q
4 March, theft of coats from Go Outdoors
5 March, theft of a TV from ASDA
6 March, attempted theft of pressure washers from B&Q
9 March, theft of a pressure washer and drill from B&Q
11 March, theft of pressure washers from B&Q
12 March, theft of coats from Go Outdoors

The incident at Waitrose took place on 16 March.
