A woman is in a serious condition in hospital after being hit by a campervan in a supermarket car park.

Emergency services were called around 6.25am on Friday (24 May).
A woman in her 20s was taken to Royal Preston Hospital in a ‘serious condition’.
A police spokeswoman said: “A section of the car park has been cordoned off for officers to conduct their investigation into the cause of the collision.
“The back entrance on West View also remains closed. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause for people.”
Police have arrested the driver of the campervan, a 74-year-old man from Wigan, on suspicion of dangerous driving. He remains in custody.
