Bus drivers in Preston and South Ribble have begun their walk out in protest over a pay dispute.
AdvertisementA member of the public showed his support for the striking staff by halting a Stagecoach bus which had broken the picket line.
Unite the Union representatives and striking bus staff lined Tithebarn Street as buses came by.
But one Preston man decided to show his support by standing where Tithebarn Street meets Old Vicarage.
He refused to move in a stand-off with the bus for around 45-seconds, while air horns sounded in support of him.
Eventually the man moved from the road and was greeted with a round of applause from members of the public who were watching and striking Stagecoach staff.
The man appeared to be gesturing for the bus driver to join the strike.
Stagecoach say they have a contingency plan in place to keep their services running.
