An overturned vehicle is causing delays on the M6 just north of Preston.

Drivers are reporting delays from Junction 32 onwards.

The crash, understood to involve a caravan, has taken place between the Broughton turn and Junction 33.

Traffic England is showing delays on that stretch although states traffic is still moving and Highways England confirmed two lanes are blocked by the caravan.

Stu McGou posted: “Caravan on its side just after Junction 32 M6 North. Traffic building already.”

The motorway fully reopened around 2pm on Thursday (16 May).
