A farmer’s field in Barton looks set to become more new housing.

Story Homes is proposing a 125-homes development off Jepps Lane.

The one to five-bedroom homes will have 35 per cent classed as affordable.

Developers say they will put in £900,000 of community infrastructure levy payments as part of the deal and create a new access road off Jepps Lane.

Land manager Martin Nugel said: “The consultation is an opportunity for the residents adjacent to the site to comment and provide feedback on our plans. At Story Homes we always strive to deliver the best possible development through thoughtful planning and design.

“We believe that our product is appropriate for this site due to the high quality of our houses and also our dedication to building developments which complement the local area, through thoughtful planning and design.”
