A mini-festival takes place at Fulwood library in mid-May.
Reopened in December 2017 the library had been closed down due to county council cutbacks.
Since reopening the library has an extensive events calendar and now a Friends of Fulwood Library group has been launched.
Their first event, Live at the Library, will include performance poetry from Ben Guilfoyle, known as the Woolly Hat Poet, and live music from the Clann Bheatha Ceilidh Band.
Craft stalls, face-painting, homemade refreshments and a raffle are also to take place.
The event is free to attend on Saturday 18 May from 2pm to 4pm.
