Full proposals for bringing two large office blocks in Preston city centre back into use has been lodged.

The Heaton Group want to convert two office blocks on Lancaster Road into blocks of 130 flats.

Red Rose House and Elizabeth House have both stood empty since October last year.

Two shops or commercial units would be created at the base of the flats.

Red Rose House would see 52 one-bed apartments, 22 two-bed apartments and one three-bed.

While in Elizabeth House they would create 36 one-bed flats, 18 two-bed apartments and one three-bed apartment.

Previous proposals were tabled for the building in March last year by PCL and DV Architects, but now it looks as if The Heaton Group have taken on the site.
