A Preston faith group is holding its annual Ramadan dinner.

The Light Foundation is opening its invitation for all non-Muslims to discover more about the Muslim festival.

A guest speaker Shakyh Dr Mahmood Chandia will explain the spiritual and societal benefits of the Ramadan period.

Dr Chandia is a senior lecturer at the School of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Central Lancashire.

The fourth annual Ramadan Dinner takes place at the Quakers Meeting Hall in St George’s Road.

It’s free to attend and includes food as Muslim groups break their fast.

The event runs from 7.30pm to 9.30pm on Thursday 16 May.
