A teenager has been airlifted to hospital after a stabbing in Preston city centre.
Preston Police were called to B&M Bargains in Carlisle Street, near Preston Bus Station and Ringway around 4.45pm on Sunday (7 April).
A 17-year-old boy from Preston has been chased and attacked according to police.
Three teenagers, thought to be between 15 and 18 have chased the boy and stabbed him in the back.
A bicycle was also stolen from the boy during the incident.
North West Air Ambulance landed at Queen Street Retail Park and the victim was transferred to the waiting helicopter by ambulance before he was flown to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
Preston Police say the boys injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.
Inspector Chris Walsh said: “We think this was a targeted attack and that both the attackers and victim are known to each other.
“We have a number of officers working on tracing the offenders and arresting them.
“We know they have made off towards Church Street and the Avenham area following the incident.
“Did you see three youths with a bike in this area? Perhaps you were driving in that direction and saw them? If you have any information or potential dash cam footage we need you to get in touch.”
