Preston to host first-ever TEDx talk thanks to these youngsters

Preston will host its first-ever TEDx event thanks to two young locals.

Dominick Horton, 22, and Oliwia Poddana, 19, are bringing TEDx – the non-profit organisation famous for spreading ideas via short, powerful talks – to Preston with TEDxFulwood.

The event, which is titled Dedicated to Development, will see speakers showcasing their knowledge, wisdom and expertise in their particular fields.

Speakers include a self-love and NLP practitioner and a conscious architect and xpreneur.

Talks will focus on leadership and will cover how local leaders can implement new techniques and strategies to further improve themselves and their businesses.R

The speaker line-up is as follows:

  • Bradley Wescott, Self-Love & NLP Practitioner
  • Daniel Halenko, Conscious Architect & Xpreneur
  • Jana Sremanakova, Nutrition and Cancer Research Scientist
  • Jordon Groves, Mind and Performance Specialist
  • Sonya Barlow, Confidence Coach & Technology Consultant
  • Tim Vaughan, Speaker, Trainer, Coach & Author
  • Valerie Campbell, Voice Over Artist & Radio Presenter 

Dominick said: “The intention of this event is to create an eco-system for growth by developing a community for leaders in the north west to learn and grow together, and to hold space for new and innovative ideas to help improve our local businesses and individuals.”

TEDxFulwood will take place on Tuesday 7 May from 6pm in The Greats Room at Preston North End Football Club.
