Police put stop and search order in Ribbleton because of 15-person fight

Police were deployed to Ribbleton during Tuesday evening after a fight involving 15 people.

A Section 60 order was used again by police to put a stop and search zone in place across the area where the fight took place.

Preston Police confirmed to Blog Preston a fight between two youths, in their late teens, ‘escalated’.

The incident saw 15 people involved with a suggestion weapons were used.

Grizedale Crescent was flooded with police following the incident.

A stop and search order was in force covering the area around Pope Lane and Ribbleton Hall Drive until 3am on Wednesday (10 April).

No arrests were made and there were no further disturbances overnight.

Section 60s have been deployed in Penwortham and Fishwick in recent weeks following stabbings and disturbances by gangs of youths in the area.
