Striding out for St Catherine’s Hospice is going to go by a new route this year.
The city’s hospice puts on its annual Moonlight and Memories walk raising tens of thousands of pounds.
This summer’s walk is going by two new routes, one is 10-miles and one is four-miles.
Both of the routes start and finish in St Catherine’s Park in Lostock Hall.
Director of community and income Lorraine Charlesworth said: “Last year more than 1,100 supporters proudly wore their bright pink personalised t-shirts and took part in our poignant night time trek, raising much-needed funds to help us care for local people facing life-shortening illnesses such as cancer, motor neurone disease and heart failure.
“The atmosphere on the night is fantastic as people stock up on sparkly accessories, decorate their t-shirts, and take part in our fun and energetic warm-up, as well as write meaningful messages on our special Memory Wall and share stories and memories of their loved ones along the way.
“It’s certainly a very special night, and this year we’re looking forward to welcoming even more supporters, old and new, with two brand new routes developed and exciting new t-shirts being designed.”
