Lytham Road will remain closed until May after further delays to the maintenance work.
Network Rail closed the road at the end of February to carry out essential repairs to the bridge.
The work was set to be completed by March and then for just before the Easter weekend but following a string of delays, it is not now expected to be finished until May 10.
A diversion remains in place for vehicles around Cadley Causeway and Blackpool Road but the route is open to pedestrians.
Blog Preston has contacted Network Rail for an update but they have yet to respond.
However boards by the bridge have been changed to show the new date.
