Anyone planning a swim has been advised Fulwood Leisure Centre’s swimming pool has been shut.

Both the main pool and the teaching pool are out of action.

Better Leisure, who have operated the leisure centre in Black Bull Lane, had a message up in its foyer and online.

Greenwich Leisure Limited, its parent company, said: “Due to a mechanical fault both pools at Fulwood will be closed until Tuesday 16th April.

“Apologies for any inconvenience caused.”

The fault comes after more than two months of work last year and into January on the changing rooms and pools closed access to the teaching pool.

West View Leisure Centre’s pools remain open.

And the gym and individual exercise classes remain on at Fulwood.
