A ferret has been found wandering the archives of Lancashire.
Lancashire County Council is trying to trace the owner of the pet.
It was discovered during Thursday (25 April) at the Lancashire Archives in Bow Lane near County Hall.
The RSPCA have been informed.
Senior archivist David Tilsley explained in a video appeal by the county council how the ferret appears to have snuck in via a fire escape.
The animal is believed to be a pet rather than a wild ferret.
