One person was taken to hospital after a late-night crash in the Plungington area of the city.

Preston Police and the North West Ambulance Service attended the three-car collision near the Brook Street Tavern.

Blackpool Road and Brook Street were closed briefly around 10pm on Wednesday (6 March) while emergency services dealt with the incident.

A spokeswoman for the ambulance service said: “We were called around 10.12pm with an ambulance attending.

“One person was taken to hospital.”

Preston Police said it was a damage-only collision so would be making no further comment.
