Section 60 order in place following second Fishwick stabbing

A Section 60 order is in place until 8pm tonight

A Section 60 order has been put in place in Fishwick after a second teenager was stabbed.

Extra police patrols, including mounted, have been in the area to offer reassurance following yesterday’s assault, in which a 15-year-old boy was slashed in the arm.

A Section 60 order remains in place until 8pm tonight in the area as a preventative measure (see map).

This allows officers to stop and search people and to require the removal of face coverings.

Last week police ran Section 60 orders for three consecutive nights after a teenage boy was stabbed.
