Bread and Butter in Penwortham is moving to a new, bigger premises – two doors down the road.
The popular cafe will relocate to the old Lloyds Bank building in Liverpool Road, which has stood empty since July 2016.
It is an exciting new chapter for owners Fay and Ryan Johnson, who set up shop on the corner of Priory Lane two years ago.
Fay said: “This is something Ryan and I really have dreamed of.
“We are both real foodies – we met when we worked at Northcote Manor, which was like military training in the food world – and that is something we really want to carry on in the new premises.
“Ryan will have the kitchen of his dreams and I will have the bar and restaurant of mine.
“The frontage and interior of our shop will be exactly how we want it and will match the standards of Ryan’s amazing food.
“We will still have the same welcoming feel and high standards but the bigger premises will allow us to offer even more in the way of quality breakfasts, lunches and afternoon teas.
“There is a real community buzz in Penwortham and it is so nice to have everyone behind us.
“We just need to get the building work done and we hope to be open by summer.”
