Firefighters had to cut a driver free from an overturned car in Bamber Bridge during the early hours of Sunday morning.
Crews from Bamber Bridge were called to Pearwood Close off Chorley Road.
A car was on its side around 2.22am on Sunday (31 March).
Two fire crews attended and released one person from the vehicle.
North West Ambulance Service treated a man at the scene and he was then taken to Royal Preston Hospital for further treatment.
South Ribble Police closed the road for around five hours following the incident. They have now issued an appeal for witnesses.
