Podiatry clinic The Foot Room is stepping out of Longridge with a new satellite clinic in Broughton.

The clinic is running at Broughton Physiotherapy every Monday.

Traditional podiatry and chiropody services, fungal nail treatments, and gait analysis/biomechanical assessments and orthotic therapy are all on offer at the new clinic.

Specialised verruca therapy, ingrowing toenail surgery and spa treatments will continue to be carried out mainly at the Longridge clinic.

Ambitious Preston pair Sarah Carroll and Jen Royle opened The Foot Room in 2010 with a dream to one day have a multi-chair clinic employing podiatrists from the area and further afield.

Sarah said: “The image most people have in their minds about chiropody/podiatry generally couldn’t be further from the business we run in Longridge.

“We are a team of young professionals with a very modern outlook on podiatry, offering a range of treatments. We really feel passionate about making people more aware of how important foot health is, for all generations.”

The Foot Room has tripled in size since 2014, and they now have seven podiatrists, a reflexologist and a team of three receptionists.

In April 2018, The Foot Room expanded into the flat above their Towneley Road clinic to create a luxury treatment area including a spa room, biomechanical clinic, staff room and office. Still Sarah and the team are keen to continue developing the business.

She said: “We have started offering contracts to residential/nursing homes who we visit on a weekly basis. At the beginning of 2018 we also introduced our domiciliary service for anyone who is housebound.

“After starting the Broughton clinic in January, the support has been phenomenal and we are really grateful to the local people for this.

“One day we hope to expand the satellite clinic in Broughton into a larger multi-chair clinic. Our ultimate vision is to set up a number of Foot Room clinics across Preston and the Ribble Valley.”
