The crossroads of Garstang Road, Lytham Road and Watling Street Road was closed by emergency services during Friday (22 March).

A crash just after 6pm near the Shell garage saw a van and a black Peugeot collide.

Two further vehicles were then involved in the crash.

North West Ambulance Service and Preston Police attended and the road reopened around 7.20pm.

No one is thought to be seriously hurt in the crash.

Delays were reported back to North Road and also back to the Black Bull crossroads in Fulwood – as the crash added to already heavy congestion in Fulwood which had been building since before 4pm on Friday.

Roadworks have now begun near Royal Preston Hospital for overnight resurfacing work which sees Sharoe Green Lane closed.
