An Islamic Education Centre has seen a window smashed.
Preston Police are investigating after a brick was put through the window of the Madrassa-Tul-Madina in Garstang Road – just down from Moor Park.
The centre, which operates a kids nursery in the mornings, and education clases for children aged between four to 15 was targeted by vandals.
A spokesman for the centre said CCTV footage showed two men passing by the centre around 4am on Tuesday 12 March.
He said: “They threw a brick at one of the windows.
“On the first attempt the pair failed to break the window.
“They opened the front gate, picked up the brick again and closed the gate slowly.
“After that they looked around again to make sure there were no cars or pedestrians approaching.
“The brick was thrown again and the window smashed.”
The centre has passed CCTV footage to the police and asked for the incident to be investigated as a hate crime.
