Air ambulance called to Ribbleton due to crash

A major road in Ribbleton has now been reopened following a crash.

Preston Police had shut Longridge Road/Ribbleton Avenue from its junction with Ribbleton Hall Drive to the junction with Grange Avenue.

An air ambulance has been called and has landed near Ribbleton Medical Centre at Sion Park.

The incident took place around 2.45pm on Saturday (9 March).

An 11-year-old boy was hurt in the crash according to Lancs Live.

Ribbleton Avenue reopened around 4.20pm.
