A woman suffered head and hip injuries in a collision in Garstang Road last night.
Emergency services were called to the junction with Ripon Street at around 6.30pm to reports a Peugeot had collided with a pedestrian.
The woman, 54, was taken to Royal Preston Hospital where she received treatment for her injuries.
The driver, a 30-year-old man from Blackpool, was not hurt.
Police closed the road for two hours to deal with the collision.
They are now appealing for witnesses.
Sgt Lee Harris, of Lancashire Policeâs Tactical Operations team, said: âWe are appealing for witnesses following a collision in Preston.
âWe believe a number of motorists will have been in the area around the time of the incident and would encourage anyone with information to come forward.â
