Owners of the Shankly Hotel have said they remain on track to open in April.
Signature Living are bringing the former Post Office building facing into the Flag Market back into use.
Costing £15million the hotel will have space for 350 guests.
Director of the Shankly, and a descendent of Bill Shankly who the hotel is named after, Christopher ‘William Shankly’ Carline told Blog Preston: “The intention is to do a part opening of some rooms in April.
“The ground floor restaurant with the entire building and its operation being functional by June this year.”

Owner of Signature Living, Lawrence Kenwright, visited the hotel in late January to see how work was progressing.
He tweeted: “Work is underway. Not long to go now.
“It’s a great honour to be working with Chris and the Shankly family on another exciting project.”
The boutique hotel will have 65 rooms, a restaurant, bar and spa and Carline said they’ve already had requests for room bookings, weddings and conferences as far ahead as 2023.
