Frustated homeowners in Ribbleton are continuing to have their lights turn off and WiFi routers disrupted.
Electricity North West confirmed since Friday (8 February) a number of roads have been affected.
Angry residents in Cedar Road, Sycamore Road and Hawthorn Road have contacted Blog Preston to say they’ve been left having to light candles because of the unreliable electricity supply.
A spokesman for Electricity North West told Blog Preston: “Since Friday there have been a number of short power cuts in Ribbleton.
“They’re known as ‘transient’ or ‘intermittent’ faults and are very difficult to detect to repair.
“We installed monitoring equipment to track the fault to find where the problem was in the underground cable serving the area and we have now been able to identify the faulty section of cable and repair it so customers should not have any more issues.”
