Prestonians have been warned not to approach a man wanted after an attack near the city’s university.

Ryan Robertson, from Accrington, has seen his picture released by Preston Police.

The 30-year-old from Accrington is wanted by police in connection with the assault in Adelphi Place, between Adelphi Street and Moor Lane – close to the University of Central Lancashire campus.

A man in his 20s was attacked with a piece of wood and suffered serious facial injuries in the attack during Thursday 21 February.

Robertson is described as white, 6’2″, stocky build, with short dark-brown hair and green eyes.

PC Paul Moseley, of Preston Police, said: “Robertson is wanted by police following a serious assault earlier this month.

“He is also wanted for a further assault and on recall to prison.

“We would advise anyone who sees him not to approach him, but instead to contact police providing his location and a clothing description.”
