A woman was treated after a suspected hit and run in Preston during Saturday lunchtime.

Preston Police were called to Blackpool Road near the Lane Ends pub around 12noon on Saturday (9 February).

A Ford car and a blue Suzuki were involved in the crash.

One of the drivers, a 32-year-old woman, suffered a head injury and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service were also called as there were reports of the woman being trapped, but crews were stood down at the scene.

A police spokesman told Blog Preston: “The person driving the Ford allegedly made off from the scene. Enquiries are on-going to trace the driver.”
