More Prestonians are feeling upbeat about the city than downbeat, Blog Preston can reveal.
In a survey of readers, of which more than 600 took part, people in the city were asked to rate how they felt about the city in 2019.
Asked ‘How do you feel about the city as a whole at the moment?’ 63 per cent gave a rating above 5.
One was ‘Very downbeat’ and 10 was ‘Brimming with optisim’.
The most common answer was a score of 7 with 122 going for this.

Prestonian’s were also asked in the Big Preston Survey what they loved about the city.

The city’s parks, the new market, the Harris and new restaurant and bars all featuered. Along with the friendly people, history of the city and Winckley Square also got a mention.
Of those surveyed, 95 per cent had a PR postcode.
