A bus service is to be axed for Frenchwood as a new one is restored to Fulwood.Advertisement
Preston Bus has announced a number of changes to services as well as the introduction of the Number 15 service – after a campaign calling for it to reinstate the axed Number 14.
But Rotala, Preston Bus’ parent firm, has announced the 29 service between the city and Frenchwood is to be withdrawn and instead incorporated into a revised 112 route.
Service 75 the Fylde Villager has a revised timetable and route, and no longer serves the Windward Avenue Estate due to ‘extremely low usage’.
The 76,77 and 77A services are also no longer being operated but Preston Bus says there’s no changes to routes or timetables.
Services 112 and 114 are seeing changes to routes and timetables.

The 112 will serve Frenchwood and also extend to Moss Side and Midge Hall in South Ribble, replacing a revised 114 in those areas.
In Leyland the 114 will operate direct between Croston Road and the town centre via Broadfield Drive.
These services are operated by Preston Bus on behalf of Lancashire County Council.
The Number 15 has been put in after residents in Longsands said they had been ‘cut off’ by the firms decision to axe the 14.
Now the hourly service the 15 will go from Preston city centre to Longsands via Deepdale Road and Watling Street Road on Monday to Saturday daytime.
All the changes take place from Monday 18 February.
