A motorcyclist is in hospital after a serious road traffic accident in Roebuck Street.

The collision, which involved the motorcycle and a DPD delivery van, happened at around 7.30pm near the junction with Stocks Road.

The stretch of Roebuck Street between Tulketh Brow and Shelley Road is closed, and emergency services are in attendance.

A spokesman for Preston Police said: “The motorcyclist, a man in his 30s, suffered serious head and internal injuries. He was taken to Royal Preston Hospital for treatment.

“The driver of the van was not injured.”

A spokeswoman for the North West Ambulance service confirmed a man in his 30s was taken to hospital in a ‘serious condition’.

Anyone with information about the collision can contact police on 101 quoting log 1367 of February 10.
