The roundabout at Lightfoot Lane has re-opened after weeks of uncertainty.

Work was scheduled to finish by the end of 2018 but bad weather and difficulties in getting contractors onto site caused it to over run.

Frustrated motorists feared the work would continue well into spring, but the signs were removed and traffic is now flowing freely through the junction with Tom Benson Way.

Traffic has been delayed since July when the work began to build a new link road and access to the new housing development Lightfoot Meadow, under construction by David Wilson Homes.
