Lea Road delays expected due to railway bridge works

Motorists in Lea are being warned of delays due to work on a railway bridge.

The Great North Rail Project has warned that Lea Road has been reduced to a single lane of traffic.

Temporary traffic lights will be in place from 11pm on Saturday (9 February) to 6am on Monday (11 February).

A spokesman said: “This is part of our ongoing Sunday improvement works. Temporary traffic lights will be in place.”

It’s part of work by Network Rail to improve drainage on the Preston to Blackpool North line.
