A former hospital site in Ribbleton looks set to be given the go-ahead for new homes.
AdvertisementUp to 139 new homes, with nearly a third of them being affordable, could be built off Miller Road.
Ribbleton Hospital was demolished last year and councillors will now decide whether to allow building on the site.
Preston City Council’s planning department has recommended the scheme for approval – provided it gives affordable housing to the city.
Plans from BDP also show the road layout within the site will maintain the fact you can’t get through from Sandycroft into Miller Road.
This provides two different entrance points into the development.

Lancashire County Council’s highways department have asked a bus stop in Miller Road is moved as part of the scheme.
Six objections were received saying the area is already ‘too congested’.
Councillors will decide on the Ribbleton Hospital site during planning committee on Thursday (7 February).
