Making its way in a 21-mile loop around the city its become one of Preston’s favourite things to do.
The Guild Wheel has become a lasting legacy of the 2012 Guild in the city and a popular cycling and walking route.
A monthly photography competition has been launched to capture the Wheel in all seasons.
Robert McDougall, a keen cyclist and part of the Guild Wheel User Group, said: “We want you to capture the beauty of the Wheel in all its glory, from the reds and browns of autumn, through the white frosts of winter, the multi-coloured carpets of spring flowers and on to the golden tones of summer.
“In conjunction with the Guild Wheel User Group, a prize will be offered for the best photograph submitted that month and the photo will appear in print.
“By this time next year, we should have 12 striking images showing the changing face of the Wheel as the seasons progress.”
