A new Greek takeaway has opened in the city.
Greekouzina is now serving in Marsh Lane near the University of Central Lancashire campus.
Cornering Ladywell Street the takeaway has gone by many names over the years.
Popeye’s in 2009, Dean’s in 2014 and most recently Spice Wala.
You can get your fill of pitta and halloumi from Christina and Vasilis.

They opened in late December and said ‘they feel they are doing well’.
Christine said: “I am a tutor of English here at UCLan. My husband had restaurants in Greece, on in Halkidiki (Pefkohori beach) and one in Kastoria (northern Greece).
“We moved here this September. Our signature dish is “gyros wrap”, that is the Greek meat in the Greek pita bread -thicker compared to what most know as pita bread – and, of course, our homemade tzatziki dip, always in our gyros pita wraps.
“Tzatziki is a Greek yogurt dip, having cucumber, garlic and dill.”
