Gale force winds warning issued for Preston

Preston is set for a wet and wild weekend of weather.

The Met Office is warning of strong winds coming in from the west and lashing the city.

A yellow weather warning has been issued from just after midnight on Saturday (9 Feb) through to 3pm on the same day.

Motorists are warned of delays on the roads, and airports are monitoring the situation closely.

Rain is expected throughout Saturday with gusts of up to 60mph at times.

Winds are expected to drop by 3pm.
