Plans have been submitted for a new dentists’ surgery in London Road.

Custom Dental, based in Liverpool, have applied for permission to change the use of the premises, on the corner of James Street, from retail to dental.

They will be within the same set of retail units as the recently opened Greggs.

The plans include four dental surgeries on the ground floor, with offices and staff facilities on the first floor.

The surgery is expected to have eight full time and two part time members of staff.

Custom Dental submitted the plans to Preston City Council on February 15. An officer will now consider the application.
