A bollard has been sent tumbling in Fishergate

One of the Fishergate Bollard’s family has been skittled.

During Thursday (31 January) another of the stone plinths was sent tumbling.

A driver hit the bollard which is just in Corporation Street as you come up to Fishergate.

The original bollard is currently missing in action but now another of the ‘street scene features’ has gone tumbling.

Linda Mansley found the bollard sheltering near KutchenHaus, the German kitchen company, in Fishergate.

Each bollard costs around £300 to replace each time, uncovered by a Freedom of Information by Blog Preston to Lancashire County Council.

The pithy plinth has amassed more than 3,000 Twitter followers and had a cheeky tweet to go with its fellow concrete structure’s demise.#
