A Preston man has taken to social media to appeal for help tracking down who crashed into his car.

Harry Ely had parked in Winckley Square overnight from Boxing Day.

Around 4am on 27 December CCTV footage shows a driver hit Harry’s car.

Harry told Blog Preston: “The car was written off and instead of leaving their details they have decided to drive off.

“I’ve had to source the CCTV myself as the police say there’s not much they can do and without the drivers details I am struggling to make an insurance claim.

“I would really appreciate if anyone can make out any of the reg plate or recognises the vehicle.”

See the footage below showing the crash, which Harry has managed to source

There is considerable damage to the passenger side of Harry’s car, a silver Seat Ibiza. He says it would cost £850 to repair.
