Trinity on the Square is launching in what was Solita in Winckley Square

A new bar is set to throw open its doors in what was Solita on Winckely Square.

Trinity on the Square is due to open on the site in the city’s Georgian Square, in what was formerly Solita.

New owners Jonathon and Emma Williams, together with their family, provided a soft opening just before Christmas and the official launch will be Friday 18 January.

The pair, who go by Jay and Em, have backgrounds in hospitality and retail and have the assistance of various senior management appointments.

These include Nicholas McCarthy as Deputy General Manager, Michael Slater as Head Chef, Jamie Pennington as Bars Manager and Darren Morris as Sous Chef.

The name Trinity is associated with the trinity symbol (trinity know to triquetra) and denotes three.

The contemporary bar has its very own brasserie serving a variety of food, a cocktail lounge and Trinity Suite, a function lounge for a range of private events.

Cabaret nights, guest chef nights and master classes will also be held here.

A wood fire pizza oven is situated downstairs allowing you to watch your pizzas being cooked right in front of you.

A spokesperson for Trinity said: “The trinity that is at the heart of the company’s value are food, drink and entertainment. The team at Trinity will be ensuring that all our guests will benefit from that ‘experience’.

“It is not just about the food or the drink, it is about the interaction between the team and our guests, the knowledge of our brans we sell, it’s about using the local suppliers as well as international ones and about being different.

“We are also very proud to say that all those that join the team at Trinity also become part of the TLG family.”

The bar will be open seven days a week, serving Breakfast from 8.30am – 12pm Monday – Friday and from 9.30am on Sunday.

The downstairs Brasserie will serve lunch from 12pm – 2.30pm and afternoon tea from 2.30pm – 5pm.

Winckley’s Cocktail Lounge and Bar is open until 11pm on Sunday – Thursday and until midnight on Friday and Saturday.
