Preston has awoken to a fresh covering of snow during Wednesday morning.
January is ending with the second snowfall of the year so far.
A Met Office warning for snow and ice remains in force until 11am on Wednesday (30 January).
Lancashire Police are warning drivers of difficult conditions on some routes, particularly in East Lancashire where snow has been heavier.
Preston Bus said it is already seeing disruption to services.
A spokesman said: “Services will be adversely affected today following the snowfall and subsequent freezing temperatures.
“Reports have been received that conditions in the East of Preston, and in South Ribble and Chorley areas are expected to impact services. No services have been cancelled as yet, but delays are expected as vehicles struggle to get through on icy roads.
“Staff travelling to work are also experiencing difficulties getting in to Preston from rural areas, and this is likely to further impact services.”

More snow is expected on Thursday afternoon in Preston and Lancashire with a new snow and ice warning in force.
