Would you run towards a burning building rather than run away?

Lancashire Fire and Rescue Service is giving budding firefighters the chance to go through their paces.

An open morning is being held at Preston Fire Station.

The fire srvice is preparing to recruit wholetime firefighters in March and is running taster days for Prestonians to find out more.

Physical training instructors and the human resources team will be on site.

There’s also the chance to hear from serving firefighters and see the appliances and equipment they use.

The taster day is on Sunday 24 February from 10am-12.30pm at Preston Fire Station in Blackpool Road, opposite Deepdale Shopping Park.
