Police searching for missing Broughton pensioner

A pensioner has gone missing from Broughton.

81-year-old Ray MacKay was last seen at his home address around 2.15pm on Friday (4 January).

His car, a grey Land Rover Range Rover Evoque, was also missing.

Update: Police say Ray was found safe and well during the early hours of Saturday (5 January) morning in Penwortham

Ray is white, of medium build and wears glasses with silver frames.

The Broughton man was last seen wearing a brown chequered shirt, blue jumper, blue chino style pants, blue anorak and black shoes with a Velcro fastening.

Ray has links to Preston, Penwortham and the Lake District.

Sergeant James Hesketh said: “We’re concerned for Ray’s welfare and are appealing for any information about his whereabouts.

“If you have seen him or his vehicle, it is important that you contact us.”
