A bike which police say was stolen has been located in the Sharoe Green area of the city.
Preston police have located a mint green Ariel Specialised mountain bike.
Officers have confirmed that the suspected stolen item was in fact stolen, and have arrested a male in the early hours of this morning (Sunday 6 January) after being stopped in possession of the bicycle.

This incident took place in the area of Sharoe Green Lane and Watling Street Road in Preston.
They appealed for anyone who believes they are the owner, and have proof of ownership, to come forward and get in touch.
Update: Police have identified the owner and the bike will be returned to them in due course
A spokesperson for Preston police said: “Police have located a mint green Ariel Specialized mountain bike in the area of Sharoe Green Lane, Preston.
“We suspect that this bike may have been stolen.”
In a later post, a spokesperson for Preston Police confirmed: “Thank you to everyone who shared our post about the bike we suspected to have been stolen.
“Turns out we were right… the bike was in fact stolen. The owner has been identified and this will be returned to them in due course.”
