Police called to reports of man stabbed in Deepdale

Police remain in Deepdale during Saturday evening after a man was stabbed.

A police spokesman confirmed they were continuing to deal with a ‘live incident’ at Cunliffe Court, Deepdale, in Cunliffe Street.

There is a police presence on the junction with St Paul’s Road, near the Jehovah’s Witness Hall, and the road remains open.

He confirmed a man was with the North West Ambulance Service and receiving treatment. No further details are being released by police at this stage.

An eyewitness said there had been a man stabbed.

Jayde Louise Andrews told Blog Preston: “We helped to put pressure on the wound.

“He had been stabbed in his buttock.”

Police confirmed the incident took place at 9.45pm on Saturday (12 January).
