A busy junction in Lostock Hall is to see major roadworks for three days.
Lancashire County Council says the surface of the Todd Lane and Brownedge Road junction has become worn.
A section of Brownedge Road past the Spar shop is being resurfaced.
The roadworks are from 8am to 6pm on Tuesday 29 January, Wednesday 30 January and Thursday 31 January.

A spokesman for Lancashire County Council said: “We’re due to carry out work over three days at the end of January to replace the worn surface at the junction of Todd Lane and Brownedge Road.
“Todd Lane will be closed at the junction while work is taking place, however we’ll be keeping Brownedge Road open and controlling traffic with stop and go boards.
“We’ll reopen all arms of the junction as early as we can once each day’s work is finished. We’ll try to minimise disruption as much as possible, but would ask people to try to use alternative routes if they can while this work is ongoing.”
