Would-be thieves have struck at a mini-supermarket in Lostock Hall.

South Ribble Police are continuing a scene watch at the Co-Op in Watkin Lane.

The attempted theft of a cashpoint triggered a police response during the early hours of Friday (25 January).

A police spokesman confirmed they were at the ‘early stages’ of their investigation.

No further details have been released.

The Co-Op has been taped off.

It’s the third cash point theft or attempted theft in recent weeks, following a raid at the Post Office in Fulwood and the Londis in Goosnargh.
